Does anything last forever?
Was: Do you think anything lasts for ever...
This question was posed to me back in 08 and this was my answer then:
The only thing that lasts a lifetime is the changes we go through…The love we have for others even after they broke our heart and the faith we find after we have fallen. The truth we see when a friendship grows, and understanding when one fails us. The knowledge that time doesn’t heal all wounds, but a Childs' embrace we realize can cure anything. But to answer your question, baby nothing lasts forever…
FAST FORWARD 11 months LATER and my answer now is:
In all honesty I have to say my answer is pretty much the same... The only thing I would add/change would be that Time may not heal all wounds, but IT does go a long way to lessening the hurt we have about it, to where if a door is opened again we can truly either walk through it or walk away for good.. Because I truly believe if God opens a door again, we would be stupid not to walk through it…. Another life of joy could be waiting on the other side… XOXO

A friend of mine thanks my Bella!!! gave this answer and I WOW...was it even better than mine:
I would answer no... I have said (on more than one occasion) I would NEVER DO yadd, yadda, yadda. Then, life throws me a HUGE curveball and the thing I said I would NEVER do, I did and the thing I said I KNOW I WOULD DO, I didn't. Now, sometimes it has been a good thing that I did or did not do what I "said" or "thought" I would do. Also, it has been very bad that I did or did not do what I said and thought I would. I think (if we are smart) we learn something new about others and ourselves everyday. Also, our experiences can, and sometimes should, change our point of view. As we age, everything we go through good or bad affects us and its bound to make us 'change our answers'. I'm not saying I wouldn't choose to go through pain... I would because that pain made me who I am today just like the joys in my life. I think if you like who you are (not saying there is nothing I would change because we ALL have things we wish we did better, looked better etc...) overall, you like where you are at and what you are doing you would still choose to make all the mistakes and good decisions of the past because they all brought you were you are today. However, that doesn't mean you have to repeat them because making new decisions or changing your answers will make you who you are tomorrow. Learning from the past and changing your answer for the future doesn't undo what you have already learned or become, but by stepping out and trying something new will make you, you (hopefully for the better)in the future.
So, my goal and wish for others is to not dwell in the past (learn from it but don't dwell on it because it won't change) but look to the future and what it might bring to you if you open yourself to it. Also, I agree 'time doesn't heal all wounds' but time will teach you how to live with the wound and make your future happy regardless. We control our future no one else... and we choose what we do with it - do we waste it dwelling or do we change it by living??? That decision is yours.
Thanks my BELLA for a much better insight than what I said.. but, I want hear from all of you????
